We’ll begin this lesson with the holistic perspective of face mapping. Before I ever learned about face yoga, I bought a book to better understand my children. After the birth of my second child, I went to a book reading by Jean Haner, The Wisdom of Your Child’s Face.
It was in this time that I became completely enchanted with the idea of finding revelations beyond expressions of my extroverted second baby and the nuance of energy from my timid first child. This book unlocked a holistic approach to connecting deeply with others with the recognition of all that lies behind our facial movements, energy, and health.
This module approaches this subtle holistic wisdom with reverence and understanding of a face and body yoga teacher. I hope you will find this new awareness around how to read a person’s face and understand more about the inner workings, habits, and energy they hold.
Face Mapping Presentation
Journaling fosters change in your mind and body. Look at this as creating a structure around which you are learning and planning to work toward becoming a face yoga teacher. This will be the structure that helps you launch this from the synthesis you make with these lessons to your body, and soul as you write and connect with yourself after taking all of these lessons into your mind while you are present as you watch the videos and do the poses on your own.
