Hi, love! I have found checklists to be so helpful for myself and the busy women who I serve. How about you? If you like checklists, then I want to invite you to sign up to receive this list that you can save onto your phone. Create a daily reminder for yourself around these practices and watch joy grow in your life. Moving into the body and mind naturally enlivens your inner spiritual experience to get ignited again!
Why a checklist?
When we feel down, disconnected… or even enjoying the highs of life and riding the wave of success, we can be stuck in feeling the extremes of life. Our spiritual nature tends to be suppressed. In all reality, our spiritual nature needs to take a backseat for all of that feeling that needs to happen to be depressed or in a state of success. We aren’t able to realize a state of equanimity (balanced nature).
In yoga, we understand that need to withdraw from the senses. In Sanskrit, this term is called pratyahara, प्रत्याहार. Pratyahara literally means, “drawing towards”. So to consider this idea of drawing towards our insight, intuition, spirit, or whatever term you like to use to acknowledge your spiritual nature, drawing towards it is a wonderful endeavor for yourself and those around you.
Here’s why:
- You can elevate above the present moment of highs or lows.
- You can move into a state of higher performance without that threshold that you’ve created around your feelings.
- The daily life that we live offers a myriad of opportunites to experience intuition and insight, even in a modern world.
- When you elevate your experience, you inspire others to do the same.
- You vibrate at a higher frequency and can attract your deepest desires into your experience.
The Somatic Experience
Drawing towards a new level of experience in itself can feel spiritual. However, to get to this state of being, you do have to do the work. The work of the somatic experience, which comes from the Greek word soma, means “working with the body“. The checklist below shares with you includes the simplest forms of body movement. You can, of course strive for more activities. However you choose to move, I invite you to take a deeper view of the body’s matter being the home for our spirit. Your body needs to be supported and treated with healthy activity.
Mindset is a partner to the body and guides us through the day. In yogic philosophy, withdrawing the senses proceeds intuition, meditation, and bliss. With this in mind, exercise allows us to free the senses with movement, work into the mind to create a balanced healthy mindset, and then we are able to release our intuitive nature and state that allows us to connect with our spiritual nature.
If all of this sounds intriguing to you, I invite you to sign up to receive the daily checklist from which you can guide yourself into a state of spiritual bliss each and every day!
